John Horsewell was born in Essex and from a very early age fell in love with art. His grandparents were both professional artists so it was natural to him to pick up a paintbrush and just paint.
John experimented with pastel and water colour, but soon realised oils were his material of choice as they were perfect for his style and allowed him to fully capture colour and light whitin his artworks.
Although he intitally became an interior deisgner John still continued painting and exhibiting artworks across the UK. In 1978 he became a full time artist where his painting went from strength to strength broadening his collector base to the USA and Japan.
John continues to paint and now lives on the Essex - Suffolk boarder with his wife and three children.
