A bare midriff, unkempt hair and scruffy denim are no matter to a boy who’s cocking his hand backwards, preparing to fire another web so that he can swing his way across to the slide just out of frame, and continue his most excellent adventure. He has no time for our mocking.

He is after all, Spider-Man, as Davison clearly illustrates via the mind’s eye of the kid looming large in the background, clearly depicting the current plight he’s engaged in.
