Hot Shots by Samantha Ellis

This really has to be one of the best views from any car park, as we stare out across the River Thames and look upon the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben’s clock tower cast on the compositional horizon; we mention car park, as to our immediate front the viewer witnesses three classic Mini cars, of the original variety, illustratively parked up and commanding centre stage in this, the latest creative offering my Samantha Ellis.

In case we need reminding, Ellis is the exciting contemporary cityscape artist with a recent (and altogether pleasing habit) of visually flagging up some iconic vehicles, and then juxtaposing them with equally as famous London landmarks. This brand new, limited edition piece, entitled ‘Hot Shots’ is no exception, and therefore demands our attentions.
